How Does Chin Implant Surgery Work?

Chin Implant Recovery Tips

• Sleep on your back with your head elevated to prevent discomfort and swelling as much as possible.
• Eat soft-food and go on a liquid diet for a few days after the surgery.
• After every meal, rinse your mouth with water or antiseptic rinse.
• Take oral antibiotics as prescribed by your plastic surgeon
• To avoid infection or healing delay, avoid smoking and alcohol for a couple of weeks after the surgery (as well as before the surgery).

Some bruising, redness, or swelling is considered normal and will go away in a few days. Also, you might experience some pain and discomfort for a day or two. Chin implant pain can be managed using pain killers or cold compress.
